Flow measuring signal error compensation method, for inductive flow meter, involves inserting piezoelectric unit above electrode in flow meter to find fluid height to compute cross section of meter for calculating fluid flow quantity
Flow measuring signal error compensation method involves inserting a piezoelectric unit (4) above a measuring electrode in a magnetic-inductive flow meter for determining fluid height. Cross section of the flow meter is computed based on the fluid height for calculating the quantity of the fluid flow. Sediments (6), e.g. sand grains, are analyzed by evaluation of echoes. The operability of the flow meter is evaluated based on the determined height. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing the above method for error compensation and monitoring magnetic-inductive flow meter.
