The unit (1) has a channel ring (5) defining a measuring space, and an impeller arranged in the measuring space. An inlet channel connects a flow channel with the measuring space, and an inlet opening (2) connects the flow channel with an inlet of connection housings. A flow guide unit (9) is provided in a region of the inlet opening at an outer side of the channel ring and/or an inner flow guide unit is arranged in the flow channel before the inlet channel. An independent claim is also included for a fluid meter with a measuring unit.
