An energy efficient air conditioning system especially for rooms, e.g. office spaces, has the incoming airflow regulated to the required demands and cooled by cold water, supplied by cold water systems, wells, terrestrial cooling etc. Additional cooling is provided by adiabatic cooling or by evaporation. The system includes heat exchange between incoming and expelled air flows.
