Dental modelling material comprises a reactively expanding component comprising zirconium dioxide and zirconium disilicide and a binder component comprising glass powder. Independent claims are also included for: (1) molded dental part made from the modelling material; (2) producing the modelling material by mixing (by weight) 2 parts zirconium dioxide, 0.3-2 parts zirconium disilicide and 0.3-1 part glass powder; (3) producing the molded part by filling a mold with the modelling material in viscous form, removing the part from the mold after a resting time, drying the part and heating the part in a kiln.
