Method for detecting the position of a reflective object (5, 5') in which a light source (2) emits light in varying spatial directions. The light source is reflected on the objects and imaged on a detector (11). Evaluation of the detector image information yields information about the position of the object in space. An independent claim is made for a device for detecting the position of an object in space.
