Multi-stage filter to remove harmful substances from effluent air and water associated with e.g. production of glass fibre

A filter removes harmful fluid particles e.g. styrene that occur during the manufacture of glass fibre. The filter assembly has a series of housings linked in series. The assembly has a housing (32) around a main unit (30) that filters first ozone, and then a catalytic granular section. The main unit (30) is preceded by a droplet separator (14), a dust filter (16) and an air heater (26).
