The line finder includes a light beam projector unit for projecting a beam of light (L1;L2) frontally on a vertical projection plane. A connecting part is joined to a bite bracket (30) of a face frame or a bite model holding frame (40), or articulator. A light beam detector determines the coordinates of the light beam in a horizontal plane. An independent claim is included for a connection base and for an optical face-center marking device.
