A training rig for racquet games, e.g. tennis, squash and badminton, has a ball (1) held in a bow shaped support (3) by elastic cords (2) and mounted on an adjustable telescopic post (4, 5) secured onto a wheeled base (6). The base comprises a ballast weight and rollers (7) which are brought into contact with the ground when the post is tilted. The user adjusts the rig into the appropriate settings for the exercise and positions it on the court, along with other rigs. This enables the trainee to move between different rigs to practice different sequences of hits.
