The bed frame, collapsible into four separate parts, has on each of the four corners an angle piece (5) consisting of wooden boards and releasably connected to one of the four frame parts by dowels, and a mechanical and positive locking releasable connection is formed additionally by a wedge (11) and a wedge counter-support (9). All the materials used comprising boards, dowels, wedges and wedge counter-supports consist of solid wood. The lying surface is variable in its width and/or length by the changeout of the boards.
