The conveyor belt (1), especially of fabric with a polytetrafluorethylene coating, has interconnected belt section elements (2,3) in at least one connecting region (4). The conveyor belt at least in its two side edge regions has reinforcing strips (5,6) running in the belt's longitudinal direction (A), overlapping the connecting region, and extending on regions of the interconnected belt section elements adjoining the connecting region.
