The folding case (2) of cardboard or paperboard for a folding box (1) has edge strips on the edge (9) of the delivery opening (4) and are connected flat to an inner face of the folding case. From the edge strips are formed locking strips movably connected to them via one longitudinal side and are freely movable in relation to the folding case inner face. Cut-outs are formed below the locking strips in the edge strips in the closing direction of the sealing top (3). The locking strips are cut out, stamped out or formed. The edge strips are glued to the inner face of the folding case.
