Analytical system for analyzing and controlling a production process for glass products, comprises an infrared-sensitive measurement system (30), which is sensitive only to radiation in the near infra red region. The infrared-sensitive measurement system is equipped to measure infrared radiation originating from hot glass products, immediately after the shaping process for the glass products. Analytical system for analyzing and controlling a production process for glass products, the production process comprising a shaping process and a cooling process, comprises an infrared-sensitive measurement system and a processor (38) communicating with the measurement system. The infrared-sensitive measurement system is equipped to measure infrared radiation originating from hot glass products, immediately after the shaping process for the glass products. The processor is equipped to determine a heat distribution in the glass products on the basis of information determined, by the measurement system. The infrared-sensitive measurement system is sensitive only to radiation in the near infra red region.
