PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating the residues of animals and plants by a hydrothermal reaction which can improve a decomposition capacity without corroding piping. ;SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a hydrothermal reaction tube 25 in which the residues of animals and plants mixed with water are pressurized/heated to a subcritical state to be subjected to the hydrothermal reaction and an oxidation tank 22 for oxidizing the decomposed product of the residues which were decomposed and pressure-reduced in the tube 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
