Use of substances having oxytocin activity for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of affective pain syndromes

Substances having oxytocin activity can be used for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for treatment or prophylaxis of affective pain syndromes, such as fibromyalgia and navel colic. The pain relieving effect can be strengthened or prolonged by combining oxytocin with oestrogen.
