Brief description of the recovery of 1996 in a gaseous effluent hydrocarbon by chemical reaction

Recovery of hydrogen from a hydrocarbon-rich effluent containing hydrogen and light olefins comprises (a) contacting the effluent with a reagent capable of reacting with the olefins, (b) contacting the olefin-free effluent with unsaturated compounds in the presence of a catalyst to hydrogenate the unsaturated compounds with hydrogen in the effluent, and (c) dehydrogenating hydrocarbons in the effluent from step (b).
