The thermoformed or injection-moulded thermoplastic tray comprises compartments with projecting undulating ribs along one edge, joined together by a detachable adhesive strip that can be removed by the consumer. Where appropriate a series of compartments can be joined together in a row or in a matrix pattern. The detachable strip can be of two or more layers, one of which is adhesive and another resistant to traction.
