The cup has a hemispherical part (7) maintained by a short cylindrical part (8) that delimits an opening for introduction of an articulation part of a prosthesis head. Two elongated legs (10) are fixed on the cup set back from an opening plane of the cylindrical part. A bracket (12) and/or secondary legs are fixed on the cylindrical part in order to level the opening plane of the cylindrical part.
