The method involves using a brake fluid (112) with high viscosity, at a test temperature, for simulating performance of the brake fluid with low viscosity at a temperature lower than the test temperature. The brake fluid with high viscosity of order of 200 centistoke at temperature higher than 15 degree Celsius, is used. The brake fluid is obtained by adding an additive and/or another brake fluid with low viscosity. An independent claim is also included for a brake fluid for a braking system of a test vehicle.
