The device has a flexible tube (2) closed at an end (3). The tube, with the help of a spiral spring (4), is rolled up in one position and unrolled in another position when air is insufflated. Solenoid valves are provided for the input and output of a fluid under pressure through an open end (5) of the tube. A rigid connection unit (6) is provided to support the end (5) with respect to a frame of the device. In the former position where the tube is rolled, a simulated obstacle is concealed and in the latter position where the tube is unrolled, the obstacle appears. An independent claim is also included for utilization of a motor vehicle driving teaching device.
