The method involves reading signals, for each pixel (PX) of an active pixel matrix (PXA), by amplification of the voltage delivered by the pixel, to unit gain. The amplified voltage is sampled in a pair of sampling capacitors (Cl, C2). The reading step includes additional amplification of the voltage to unit gain between the former amplification and the sampling. An independent claim is also included for a video acquisition device such as video camera.
