The bag has a front panel and a rear panel (2) completely defining the bag. Openings are provided for head and arms of a child. The rear panel has an elongated orifice (20) along a longitudinal axis of the bag and extends opposite to opening/closing units of the front panel to form a passage with the units for a child maintenance unit that maintains the child in an infant safety seat. The opening/closing units comprise a zip fastener and a dot fastener. An independent claim is also included for a method to fabricate a bunting bag for a child.
