The assembly has two pairs of electrical conducting units (12-15) connected to a fixing bar of a child safety seat. The seat has two pairs of electrical conducting units (16-19) connected to each other by resistance wires (25, 27) and a resistance (28). Electrical detection devices (34, 36) are connected to the units (16-19) when the child safety seat is in a fixed position for detecting the wires and the resistance. A diagnostic system contains a database relating a list of reference values to which a measured impedance is compared to characteristics relative to the seat. An independent claim is also included for a set including several safety assemblies.
