PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of production of a marker-free tissue in the method for producing a plant by utilizing a malformation-inducing gene. PSOLUTION: A target gene, a selected marker gene except a cytokinin-synthesizing gene, and a vector for introducing the target gene having a leaving site and the selected marker gene arranged at the leaving site are introduced to a plant cell, and the cell is selected by using the expression of the selected marker as an index. Thereafter, a vector for removing the selected marker, having the malformation-inducing gene, an eliminase gene and a leaving site, wherein the malformation-inducing gene and the eliminase gene are arranged at the leaving site is introduced to the plant cell, and the marker-free gene-introduced cell or tissue is selected by using the malformation of the cultured tissue caused by the expression of the malformation-inducing gene as an index.
