PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic reduction catalyst for nitrogen oxides capable of controlling adverse effects on the environment by converting nitrous oxide to harmless nitrogen more effectively and a method of treating nitrous oxide using the catalyst.;SOLUTION: The catalyst consists of rutile type titanium oxide and at least one supported metal selected from chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, molybdenum, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, indium, tin, tungsten, platinum, gold, lead and their oxides, and the amount of the supported metal(s) is ≤40 wt.%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
