PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emission element deterioration phenomenon compensation method for shortening the luminance difference between the maximum gradation and the minimum gradation, while maintaining the preserved reproduction of the whole display gradation, and to provide a self-luminous emission system, an emission element deterioration phenomenon compensating system and a program.;SOLUTION: The emission element deterioration phenomenon compensation method for compensating the emission element deterioration phenomenon of the self light emission system, arranged with a plurality of self-luminous elements in a matrix form is constituted of (1) a bright and dark basis determining part for determining whether it is a frame regulating bright gradation or a frame basing dark gradation, on the basis of frequency distribution concerning gradation; (2) a gamma data selection part for selecting gamma correction data pushing up the gradation reproduction band as a whole, and gamma correction data pushing down the gradation reproduction band as a whole; and (3) a gamma conversion carrying-out part for converting an input display signal into an output display signal by referring the selected gamma correction data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
