PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nonaqueous electrolyte solution of high safety and a new evaluation method of safety of nonaqueous electrolyte solution. PSOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte solution with a flame temperature of 2,700C or less at the time of contact with flame of 700 to 800C, and the safety evaluation method of the nonaqueous electrolyte solution in which flame temperature of the nonaqueous electrolyte solution is measured by making it in contact with flame of 700 to 800C are provided. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution can be applied for a nonaqueous electrolyte solution battery and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution electric double-layer capacitor.
