PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly calculate a time integral value of a load by a collision object to which a vehicle has collided. PSOLUTION: A load added on a vehicle body front part is detected by using a load sensor arranged in the vehicle body front part. While time integrating the detected load, the time integral value is attenuated by a predetermining attenuation factor according to the passage of time. At that time, the predetermined attenuation factor is lowered than that at normal time if the detected load changes from a state not exceeding a predetermined value to a state exceeding the predetermined value. If the detected load changes from the state exceeding the predetermined value to the state not exceeding the predetermined value, the attenuation factor is recovered to that at normal time after predetermined hold time has passed.
