PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel spring which enhances the wear resistance of the upper part of the center of the rotation of a tape reel and is excellent in productivity, and a magnetic tape cartridge equipped with the same.;SOLUTION: The reel spring 25A enhances the wear resistance of a tape reel by forming a lubricant paint coat 31 for enhancing the wear resistance of the upper part of the center of the tape reel on a face opposed to the tape reel of a main body 30 of the metallic spring without using a material having high friction lubricity. The lubricant paint coat 31 is made of a synthetic resin coat in which a lubricant is added and the content of the lubricant is made equal to or higher than 0.5wt% and equal to or lower than 16wt%. When the content of the lubricant is lower than 0.5wt%, the lubricity of the coat 31 is too small and when the content of the lubricant exceeds 16wt%, adhesion with the main body 30 of the spring is deteriorated and pressing productivity is poor. Moreover, the coexistence of the wear durability and the productivity of the coat can be attained by making the film thickness of the coat 31 equal to or higher than 10um and equal to or lower than 30um.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
