IMAGE FILE PRESERVATION METHOD AND RELATED TECHNOLOGY THEREOF

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently retrieve a desired image file from a large amount of image files with personal keywords, and to unnecessitate a manual work to put the keywords. PSOLUTION: This method comprises: a step for acquiring an image file; a step for extracting accessory information from the acquired image file; a step for executing database retrieval by using the extracted accessory information as a retrieval key and extracting personal keywords corresponding to the accessory information; a step for adding the personal keywords to the accessory information; and a step for preserving the image files together with the accessory information accompanied by the personal keywords as registered image files. Thus, it is possible for an operator to efficiently retrieve the registered image file only by inputting the personal keywords. Also, it is possible to quickly retrieve the registered image file without imposing any load on this system such as access to the database when retrieving. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
