PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television receiver (DTV) connected to an IEEE 1394 serial bus that prevents a part program of a concerned broadcast time in a serial broadcast program from not being recorded even when the part broadcast program of the concerned broadcast time in the serial broadcast program desired by a user is not broadcast due to any reason.;SOLUTION: A flowchart for denoting channel control processing executed by the DTV when the DTV applies channel station selection instruction to an STB includes steps of: (S3) searching a program in matching with a keyword entered by the user among programs receptible by all apparatuses each including a tuner circuit together with its own DTV on an IEEE 1394 network 8; and (S5) to (S9) performing reservation recording processing for the found-out program in a program list as a result of the searching. Thus, even when the part program of the concerned broadcast time in the serial broadcast program desired by the user is not broadcast due to any reason, in the case that the part program of the concerned broadcast time is broadcast by digital broadcasting of a kind receptible by the other tuner circuits on the network, the DTV makes reservation recording of the concerned broadcast time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
