PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst of high conversion rate and high selection rate which uses a lower hydrocarbon, such as natural gas, to produce an aromatic hydrocarbon, such as benzene and naphthalene, and hydrogen, and an aromatization method of the lower hydrocarbon using the catalyst.;SOLUTION: The aromatization catalyst for lower hydrocarbon comprises (a) at least one kind selected from a group consisting of molybdenum and its compounds as a catalyst material, and (b) a porous metallosilicate as a carrier. The catalyst has at least macropores having a pore diameter of ≥100 nm. The aromatization method of the lower hydrocarbon using the catalyst can obtain the aromatic hydrocarbon and hydrogen from the lower hydrocarbon at high conversion rate and high selection rate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
