Study of hydrogenation of aromatic hydrocarbons is very important for hydrodearomatization of fuels and other petrochemical products. Aromatic compounds are very harmful for environment besides their incineraton results in to carbonization of internal-combustion engine which leads to fast wear of details of engine and to growth of NO_x in exhaust gases. According the World-wide Fuel Charter the content of benzene in fuel before 2005 year must be decreased to 1% and for other aromatics - to 35%. The best way for reducing aromatics content is the process of their hydrogenation. Supported noble metals are highly active catalysts for hydrogenation processes of different organic compounds. However It is well known that sulfur and its derivatives contained in fuels are the strong poisons for refinery catalysts especially for noble metals. In this aspect it is very important to develop highly effective, selective, stable for sulfur containing compounds catalysts on the base of platinum metals. Present paper devoted to study of hydrogenation of mono- and polynuclear aromatic compounds (benzene, toluene, naphthalene and anthracene) over Ⅷ group metals supported on oxides and zeolites catalysts with modifiers.
