PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hospitalization computing program which accurately computes the hospitalizations of patients. PSOLUTION: A hospitalization computing device is provided with; an admission and leave history table 91 which stores the admission and leave histories of patients who have left hospitals, the histories including the patients' hospitalizations; a patient's disease name table 92 which stores the names of diseases of the patients when they are hospitalized; a disease name determination part 95 which determines whether or not the disease name of a currently hospitalized patient agrees with a disease name of the patient when he/she is hospitalized, the latter disease name being stored in the patient disease name table 92; and a periods computing part 96 which computes the hospitalization of the patient in consideration of his or her previous hospitalization when the disease name determination part 95 determines that the name of the disease which hospitalizes him/her agrees with the disease name when he/she is hospitalized, the disease name being stored in the patient disease name table 92, and a period from the date at which the patient left a hospital to the date at which he/she is hospitalized is within a prescribed period which is determined for each disease name.
