ADULT T-CELL LEUKEMIA (ATL) MODEL MOUSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quite new ATL pathology model mouse which can develop an ATL-like disease in good repeatability over a long period, and enables the concological and immunological analyses of ATL.;SOLUTION: A method for producing the ATL pathology model mouse is characterized by isolating the cDNA of HTLV-I tax gene from the genome DNA of the lymphocyte of an ATL patient, sub-cloning the isolated cDNA in lck gene promoter of promoter specifically expressing in thymic T-cell to make a gene-introduced vector, cutting out the introduced gene site of the tax gene from the vector, and introducing the gene site into an inbred line C57BL/6 line mouse to develop the ATL.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
