COATED CAFFEINE PARTICLE, SOLID PREPARATION AND SLEEPINESS-PREVENTING MEDICINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated caffeine particles excellent in a bitterness-masking property and an eluting property of caffeine, a solid preparation containing the caffeine particles and excellent in a medicine- taking property and fast-acting property, and to obtain a sleepiness-preventing medicine composed of the solid preparation.;SOLUTION: The coated caffeine particles are obtained by applying a coating agent containing a sparingly water-soluble polymer and a plasticizer to caffeine particles having 200-600 μm primary average particle diameter. The solid preparation contains the coated caffeine particles and the preparation is a chewable tablet or a tablet disintegrated in oral cavity.
