PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating flow-based traffic in a network of nodes interconnected by links.;SOLUTION: This method includes sampling a traffic stream input to a node, wherein a sampling block being derived based on accuracy of a desired level, and tracing the number of times of double execution occurrence for each flow within the sample stream.
