AGENT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DISEASE DAMAGE OF RICE SEEDLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for controlling disease damage of a rice seedling, having high controlling activities against bacteria wilt of the rice seedling and bacterial grain rot of rice which are the disease damage of the rice seedling, and hardly causing environmental pollution; and to provide a controlling method.;SOLUTION: The agent for controlling the disease damage of the rice seedling contains Bacillus simplex CGF2856 strain having activities for controlling the onset as an active ingredient. The agent has the activities equal to or more than those of a chemical preparation used now, and does not cause the environmental pollution by an agrochemical such as the well-known chemical preparation. The controlling agent is used by subjecting seed rice at seed-soaking or at forcing of germination to a soaking treatment, subjecting the seed rice before the seed soaking, before the forcing of the germination or before seeding to a treatment by wet dust coating, admixing the agent with the soil of farmland or topsoil, or irrigating the soil with a diluted solution of the controlling agent after seeding.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
