Production method of ursodeoxycholic acid using the same, and tertiary amine salt of ursodeoxycholic acid

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a salt of ursodeoxycholic acid (chemical name; 3α,7β- dihydroxy-5'-cholanic acid), to provide a method for producing the same and to provide a method for producing ursodeoxycholic acid by using the salt being a simple and efficient method since a conventional method has disadvantages such as requirement of an esterification and a hydrolysis and complexity, a low yield or use of a large amount of chloroform.;SOLUTION: A salt of ursadeoxycholic acid and a tertiary amine is precipitated by dissolving or suspending ursodeoxycholic acid in an organic solvent and adding the tertiary amine to the solution or the suspension. Then the salt is converted into a free acid according to a routine procedure to give ursodeoxycholic acid having a purity higher than that of the initially used ursodeoxycholic acid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
