PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an immobilized microorganism, by which a material can be polymerized in a low material concentration of 7% to give the highly active immobilized microorganism having good flowability, to provide the immobilized microorganism produced by the method, and to provide a reactor using the immobilized microorganism. PSOLUTION: The method for producing the immobilized microorganism is characterized by mixing a prepolymer having a mol. wt. of 3,500 to 20,000 with a crosslinking agent having a mol. wt. of 71 to 0.045 of the mol.wt. of the prepolymer and the microorganism to prepare a suspension containing the prepolymer and the crosslinking agent in a total concentration of 1 to 7%, and then polymerizing the suspension to produce the immobilized microorganism.
