PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new gene DNA coding a regulator having an action an activating the promoter of a nitrilase gene and having a specific amino acid sequence, and useful for producing the catalyst used in reactions for producing organic acids from nitrile compounds, etc. ;SOLUTION: This new gene DNA has an action on activating the promoter of a nitrilase gene and has an amino acid sequence of the formula. The gene DNA is useful for producing a regulator relating to the genetic expression of a nitrilase which is a catalyst for producing organic acids from nitrile compounds, etc. The gene DNA is obtained by an amplification cloning treatment in the presence of the chromosomal DNA of Alcaligenes faecalis JM3 (FERM P-13277) as a template by a PCR(polymerase chain reaction) using a primer comprising a part of the gene for the regulator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
