PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in an operation control device of a conventional air conditioner that the current flows to a transmitting/receiving circuit part when the induced voltage is generated by line electric capacitance between a signal line and a commercial power source line, which causes errors in detection by a receiving detection part. PSOLUTION: In this operation control device for the air conditioner which applies a serial transfer system for transferring a plurality of operation control data between an outdoor machine and an indoor machine by one signal line, and comprises the transmitting/receiving circuit part of the outdoor machine connected to a DC power source part mounted in the outdoor machine, and a transmitting/receiving circuit part of the indoor machine connected in series through the transmitting/receiving circuit part of the outdoor machine, a circuit for connecting a switch part and a resistance for limiting the current in series, is mounted between the signal line of the outdoor machine and one of the commercial power source line in parallel with the transmitting/receiving circuit part of the outdoor machine.
