PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion relation setting method by which a conversion relation to convert data of a 1st color representing system consisting of irregular grating into data of a 2nd color representing system consisting of irregular grating is obtained with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A color chart is generated based on image data C, M, Y consisting of regular grating (step S1), stimulation data X, Y, Z are obtained by measuring the color chart (step S2), and then a CMY→XYZ conversion table is obtained (step S3). On the other hand, the color chart is read to obtain image data R, G, B (step S4) to obtain a CMY→RGB conversion table (step S5). After inverse conversion table of the CMY→RGB conversion table is obtained (step S6), and a RGB→XYZ conversion table consisting of irregular grating is obtained based on the inverse conversion table and the CMY→XYZ conversion table (step S7).
