PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable coating of relatively thick film to form a sheet in which excellent cutting property (strength to enable cutting), excellent air permeability, excellent handling property and high adhesive strength are attained after applying. PSOLUTION: The coating material for the thick film green sheet has ceramic powder, a binder resin comprised essentially of a butyral-based resin, and a solvent. The solvent contains a good solvent capable of well dissolving the binder resin and a poor solvent having lower dissolving power to the binder resin compared to the good solvent. The poor solvent contained within the range of 30-60 mass% to the whole solvent. the good solvent is an alcohol and the poor solvent is toluene, xylene, mineral split, benzyl acetate, solvent naphtha or the like.
