PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dynamic physical sensation generator which provides dynamic physical sensation that is similar to the sensation obtained on an actual vehicle employing a simple and low cost constitution by providing one or plural inertial rotating rings to a simulated vehicle section supported by a gimbal mechanism. ;SOLUTION: A simulated vehicle section 7, which is supported by a gimbal mechanism 4, is provided with one or plural inertial rotating rings 23 and 28. Utilizing the angular momentum and the precession torque of the rings 23 and 28, simulated motion of an actual vehicle is generated for the section 7. For example, when a control lever is operated and set to a forward position, the second inertial rotating ring 28 is rotated to a clockwise direction looking from the back. Owing to the reaction torque of the rotation of the ring 28, the ship body 7 rotates in a counterclockwise direction looking from the back and the physical sensation similar to the one experiences when actual ship's screw propellers are started (the propellers are assumed to rotate in a clockwise direction) is generated to an operator. When a handle 11 is rotated in a clockwise direction looking from the top, a counterclockwise torque is added to the first inertial rotating ring 23 and similar motion, which is experienced when a right turn operation of an actual ship is executed and the ship is tilted, is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
