PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stabilized thermal operation conditions for a printing head. ;SOLUTION: An ink-jet printing head is equipped with a plurality of resistances and at least one additional resistance 11. These are integrated on the same semiconductor substrate. The additional resistance is constituted of material having coefficient of temperature variation of 0.3-1.0%/°C resistance and used for both sides of heating of the substrate and measurement of temperature thereof. Current allowed to flow through the additional resistance 11 is controlled by a differential amplifier 13, a univibrator 14 and a switch 12. Various circuits based on use of the additional resistance are formed to realize a method for stabilizing the temperature of the substrate. Further, a method for obtaining the stabilized temperature being left constant is prescribed by fluctuation of the characteristic of the head. Furthermore, a method for setting up an operating point of energy in injection resistance is prescribed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
