PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive charge type organic photoconductor having good speed and improved stability for liquid toner electrophotography.;SOLUTION: The barrier layer of a photoconductor used for electrophotography contains a crosslinked organic binder material and a positive charge injection prohibiter molecule. This positive charge injection prohibiter molecule is selected from the group of aminobenzimidazole, 4-amino-1-benzylpiperidine, etc. The organic photoconductor for electrophotography comprises a conductive substrate, an organic light generating layer on the top surface of the conductive substrate, and a charge injection barrier layer on the top surface of the light generating layer, wherein the light generating layer contains a light generating pigment component uniformly dispersed in an organic binder material and a charge transport component uniformly dispersed in the organic binder material, and the charge injection barrier layer contains the crosslinked organic binder material and the positive charge injection prohibiter molecule.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
