PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring the number and concentration of microorganisms capable of sensitively and automatically measuring the number of particular microorganisms in various samples with a simple structure.;SOLUTION: This device has a reaction cell 3 capable of causing an antigen-antibody reaction in its interior by introducing a stable solution, a sample solution containing microorganisms having a predetermined antigenic determinant, and a test solution containing an antibody causing an antigen-antibody reaction with the antigenic determinant and bonded with a marker substance, a measurement cell 1 communicated with the interior of the reaction cell 3 by a communication passage 6 and provided with a migration electrode for dielectrically moving microorganisms reacted with the antibody and collecting them in an electric field concentrated part, a migration power source part 17 applying an alternating voltage to the migration electrode, a measuring part 18 measuring concentration of the marker substance bonded with the microorganisms reacted with the antibody collected at the electric field concentrated part, a calculating part 19 calculating the number and/or concentration of the microorganisms from the concentration of the marker substance, and a control part 16 controlling the migration power source part, the measuring part, and the calculating part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
