PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measurement by removing the fluorescence, which arises from foreign matter, out of the fluorescence emitted by a specimen by image processing. CONSTITUTION:A lens optical system 20, a camera 21, an image processor 22, etc., are provided. The light emitted from a light source 13 is limited to a specific wavelength region by an optical filter 12. The limited wavelength light is condensed to an optical fiber 9 by a condenser 10 and is supplied as excitation light to the specimen 8. The specimen 8 emits the fluorescence upon receipt of the excited light. The fluorescence is limited to the wavelength range of the specific wavelength region by an optical filter 16. The light limited in the wavelength range by the filter 16 is enlarged by the optical system 20 and is further taken as the fluorescent image by a camera 22. The image is fed via a signal line 23 to the processor 22. The fluorescent image arising from the foreign matter included in the specimen 8 is discriminated and is expelled in the processor 22 and therefore, the accuracy of the measurement is improved.
