The cascade can be applied for industrial type utilization of the water resources of high mountain rivers and river basins for the generation of electric power in border areas. It comprises succession groups of water intake-supply canal-Hydroelectric Power Station. River (1) is mountainous and transbordering with a dam (2) in its upper course. Each water intake in succession (3m) is found in a place where river (1) has collected sufficient waters from its tributaries in the region below the dam and simultaneously has an optimum drop to its appurtenant Hydroelectric Power Station (HEPS)(4t). The confined water pipeline (15) of the supply canal brings the water to the next HEPS (4t+1) situated before the intake of a flow of considerable discharge, and the next water intake (3m+1) is found at a place according to the above-mentioned rule. The last HEPS (4 succ.) is after the intake of the last tributary (16) having considerable discharge before the river (1) reaches the State border (17).
