"METHOD OF IMPROVING STEAM DISTRIBUTION IN A STEAM INJECTOR, AND DEVICE IN A STEAM INJECTOR". The invention relates to a method and device in a steam injector (1). The steam injector (1) is of the type comprising an injector housing (2) with a steam inlet (4) and a product inlet (3) to be treated. In the injector housing (2) there is also an outlet (7) for the ready treated product. In injector (1), steam is conducted together with the product. The device comprises a throttling washer (8) which is placed immediately after product exit (7). Throttle washer (8) causes pressure to be raised just before product leaves injector (1). Increasing pressure leads to better vapor distribution in the product and the risk of sedimentation in the product to be counteracted. The device also causes disturbing noise that may occur in the injector (1) to be considerably reduced.
